I wanted to extend enormous gratitude to the Sweeney family for your support during the pandemic. Having access to such a generous fund has really meant that our support has been limitless! You have no idea how inspiring it has been for our practitioners to be able to think of the possibilities first rather than worrying about the finances. The creativity of the team has ever-expanded throughout this challenging time and the Noel Sweeney Foundation fund has really given us the motivation to keep expanding our offer and find new ways to inspire more families.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Chasetown Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights for local village Chasetown

For the last three years, we have supported the local residents and Councillor in creating a Christmas wonderland with a Christmas lights event featuring Santa and his elves, festive stalls and all starting with a procession of camels leading the celebrations along the high street. It was all about remembering our founder Noel Sweeney’s passion for supporting the local community. He loved nothing more than seeing Chasetown high street bustling, the local school choir singing, shops remain opened, stalls and food for all.

“Spark” Burntwood

Spark aims to improve opportunities, life chances and wellbeing for families with young children in the area. Spark developed as a grassroots project in Burntwood with pioneering peer-support programmes, providing personalised, inclusive and varied services for families. It includes employment, education, and volunteering, training and one-to-one support; led by the needs of those who truly benefit from the project.

With the recent cost of living crisis, we recognised the Summer Holidays was a real worry for some, particularly those who receive free school meals during term time.  We financially supported one of their ‘Play in the Park’ sessions that helped feed over 600 adults and children, it was fantastic to see so many smiling faces.
